Java Unplugged was successfully conducted as an engaging and interactive online session organized by the IEEE Women in Engineering Affinity Group – University of Vavuniya of the University of Vavuniya.
The session was led by Hiruni Jayasekara, Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack – Java) at Cambio Sri Lanka and a graduate of the University of Moratuwa, Faculty of Information Technology. She shared her industry experience and explained Java concepts in a simple, practical, and easy-to-understand manner, helping students connect theory with real-world applications.
Participants showed great enthusiasm through active involvement, thoughtful questions, and interactive discussions, making the session both lively and impactful. The program successfully encouraged students to build confidence in Java programming and motivated them to further explore coding.
